Charity L. Carson

	Charity L. 'Jackie' Carson, age 80, of Pinckneyville, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 at 6:45 a.m. at her home.
	Jackie was born in DuQuoin on November 7, 1921, the daughter of Dwight W. and Maida T. (Feltmeyer) Fisher.  She married James Stotz and he died in World War II.  She then married Howard L. Carson on February 23, 1946 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1998.  She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville.
	Survivors include a daughter:  Toni Engelhardt and her husband, Richard, two sons:  John Edward Carson and his wife, Rosie, and Gary, all of Pinckneyville, a brother:  Kenneth Fisher of Lexington, Ky., two sisters:  Nadine Dehne and her husband, Floyd, of Pinckneyville, and Alma Brand of Vergennes, sister-in-law:  Lois Fisher of Pinckneyville, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a brother:  Paul Fisher and a grandson:  Benjamin Carson.
	Funeral services were held on Friday, February 22 at 11 a.m. in the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Rob Mathis officiating.  Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. and on Friday from 8 until 9:30 a.m. then at the church until services.
	Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
